Located on the Gorge Waterway on the historic Craigflower Manor heritage site, the new 10,000 square foot community center provides a much needed event and gathering space for the Town of View Royal and surrounding community.
The round building form is nestled into the landscape to ensure the new hall building does not detract or block views of the historic manor house. A reciprocating frame glue laminated structure was designed to achieve the long spans of the hall space in a structurally efficient and cost effective approach that also provides a unique ceiling expression to highlight the space.
